On the fourth day of the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Reliance Industries MD Mukesh Ambani made a big announcement to take India into the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and said, 'Jio and Reliance will invest Rs 10 lakh crore in the next seven years.
This investment will be spent on developing AI infrastructure, data centers and domestic (in-house) AI models. This will change the entire picture of India's digital infrastructure. This is not a speculative investment but a disciplined capital invested for nation building. Which will create lasting economic value and strategic strength for decades.'
Mukesh Ambani also emphasized on the future of AI during his address at the summit and said, 'The best time of AI is yet to come, AI techniques can bring a new era by creating the greatest prosperity and opportunities in India.' Citing the ongoing debates in the world, he said, "Will the power of AI be concentrated in the hands of a few or will it become a means of opportunity for all?" Mukesh Ambani reiterated his resolve to make India an AI superpower of the 21st century and called this investment Reliance's biggest and boldest step yet.
