The final result of the Unarmed Police Sub Inspector (PSI) recruitment, which lakhs of youth of Gujarat were eagerly waiting for, has been declared. A total of 472 lucky candidates have been selected at the end of this marathon recruitment process conducted by the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board. The state government will soon issue appointment letters to all these young officers.

Women's power dominates: 157 women become PSIs

The biggest feature of this recruitment result is that out of the 472 candidates selected, 157 are women candidates. This shows that the prevalence and strength of women in Gujarat Police is continuously increasing. In addition, the recruitment board has also announced a waiting list of 95 candidates, so that they can get a chance in future vacancies.

Competition of lakhs and tough test: This recruitment process was no less than a battle. Let's take a look at its journey:

First phase: Approximately more than 4.60 lakh candidates filled this form.

Physical Test: After the ground test held in January-February 2025, 1 lakh candidates qualified for the written exam.

Written Examination: A rigorous examination of 300 marks was conducted on 13 April 2025, in which MCQs of 200 marks and subjective questions of 100 marks were asked.

Transparent process and next steps

The recruitment board has completed its work in a very transparent manner. Objections and suggestions were invited after document verification of 1025 candidates in February 2025. After completion of all the processes, the final list has now been released.

The next step will be taken by the Director General of Police and Chief Police Officer (DGP Office), Gandhinagar. The selected candidates will be sent for training soon and after that they will serve in various police stations of Gujarat.
